As it turns out it is not possible at the time of this writing to create a Buzz button that sends an update directly to Google Buzz.
Imagine Twitter without a tweet-this-button. So we have to use a nice workaround by Techcrunch utilizing the Google Reader, another tool out of the Google apps universe. However, you need to specifically allow your Google Reader to let content show up at your Google Buzz stream.
This setting is somewhat hidden: In Google Reader, click Sharing Settings, that’s a very small option under the list of people you follow. It does work nicely.
